4.6. Stopping Enterprise Web Server
Procedure 4.11. Stopping Tomcat Running a Service
Follow this procedure to stop tomcat, which is running as a service:
- At the shell prompt, become the root user.
- Execute the following command with the respective Tomcat version (
6or7) to stop Tomcat started from with the Tomcat script in thebindirectory:sbin/tomcat<VERSION> stop
Procedure 4.12. Stopping Tomcat Running a Program
Follow this procedure to stop tomcat, which is running as a program:
- At the shell prompt, change to
/opt/jboss-ews-2.1/share/tomcat<VERSION>/bin. - Execute the following command with the respective Tomcat version (
6or7) to stop Tomcat started from with the Tomcat script in thebindirectory:sh shutdown.sh
Procedure 4.13. Stopping HTTP Server
Follow this procedure to start the HTTP Server:
- Run the command line as the root user.
- Run the following command to stop the HTTP Server:
sbin/apachectl stop
