2.5.8. Setting the Service Boot Behavior
You can define the service behavior (for the tomcat and httpd service) at boot from the command line or with the Service Configuration graphical tool:
- From the command line, issue the following command with the <SERVICE_NAME> replaced with the respective service name (
tomcat6ortomcat7, andhttpdorhttpd22)chkconfig <SERVICE_NAME> on
For details see the chkconfig man page. - To use the Service Configuration tool, issue the command
system-config-servicesand change the service setting in the displayed window.
