3.2. Create the Identity Database
Create the database and database user used by the Identity service. All steps in this procedure must be performed on the database server, while logged in as the
root user.
Procedure 3.1. Creating the Identity Service Database
- Connect to the database service:
#mysql -u root -p - Create the
keystonedatabase:mysql>CREATE DATABASE keystone; - Create a
keystonedatabase user and grant the user access to thekeystonedatabase:mysql>GRANT ALL ON keystone.* TO 'keystone'@'%' IDENTIFIED BY 'PASSWORD';mysql>GRANT ALL ON keystone.* TO 'keystone'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'PASSWORD';Replace PASSWORD with a secure password that will be used to authenticate with the database server as this user. - Flush the database privileges to ensure that they take effect immediately:
mysql>FLUSH PRIVILEGES; - Exit the
mysqlclient:mysql>quit
