14.4. Automatic ID Range Extension After Deleting a Replica
When you delete a functioning replica, the
ipa-replica-manage del command retrieves the ID ranges that were assigned to the replica and adds them as a next range to other available IdM replicas. This ensures that ID ranges remain available to be used by other replicas.
After you delete a replica, you can verify which ID ranges are configured for other servers by using the
ipa-replica-manage dnarange-show and ipa-replica-manage dnanextrange-show commands, described in Section 14.3, “Displaying Currently Assigned ID Ranges”.
