Appendix A. KDE Plasma Workspaces

As an alternative to the default GNOME desktop environment, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 provides version 4 of KDE Plasma Workspaces (previously known as K Desktop Environment) to match different work styles and preferences.

Refer to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Installation Guide on setting KDE Plasma Workspaces as the default desktop during the installation process or changing your current desktop environment to KDE Plasma Workspaces.
