The
SCHED_DEADLINE scheduler class for the real-time kernel, which was introduced in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4, continues to be available as a Technology Preview. The scheduler enables predictable task scheduling based on application deadlines. SCHED_DEADLINE benefits periodic workloads by reducing application timer manipulation. (BZ#1297061)
