14.11.2.1. Building a storage pool
The
pool-build pool-or-uuid --overwrite --no-overwrite command builds a pool with a specified pool name or UUID. The options --overwrite and --no-overwrite can only be used for a pool whose type is file system. If neither option is specified, and the pool is a file system type pool, then the resulting build will only make the directory.
If
--no-overwrite is specified, it probes to determine if a file system already exists on the target device, returning an error if it exists, or using mkfs to format the target device if it does not. If --overwrite is specified, then the mkfs command is executed and any existing data on the target device is overwritten.
