35.2. Log files overview
When deploying Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 with Virtualization into your network infrastructure, the host's Virtualization software uses many specific directories for important configuration, log files, and other utilities. All the Xen logs files are standard ASCII files, and accessible with a text editor:
- The Xen configuration directory is
/etc/xen/. This directory contains thexenddaemon and other virtual machine configuration files. The networking script files are found in thescriptsdirectory. - All Xen log files are stored in the
/var/log/xendirectory.
- The default directory for all file-based images is the
/var/lib/libvirt/imagesdirectory. - Xen kernel information is stored in the
/proc/xen/directory.
