4.3. Registering the Plug-in
To register this example plug-in, you need to:
- Create an LDIF configuration file in an ASCII text editor. See Section 3.1, “Creating a Plug-in Configuration File”.
- Load the plug-in configuration file. See Section 3.3, “Loading the Plug-in Configuration File”.
- Shut down the Directory Server.
- Restart the Directory Server.
When you restart the Directory Server, it will read the entries in the
dse.ldif file, which contains the entry for your new plug-in. It is a good idea to check the plug-ins list in the Directory Server Console to ensure that your plug-in loaded.
