14.6. Tidying an Application
Tidying an application helps manage application disk space, and performs the following functions:
- Run the
git gccommand on the application's Git repository on the server.
- Clear the application's
/tmpand log file directories that are specified by the application's
- Clear unused application libraries and remove any library files previously installed by a
Log files are not automatically backed up or rotated. Tidying an application runs the
rm -rfcommand to clear the contents of these directories. Before performing this step, save the log files by creating a snapshot of the system with the
rhc snapshot savecommand.
Tidy an application with the following command:
rhc app tidy App_Name
