11.2. Compatible Upgrades
If the upgrade itinerary records a compatible upgrade for a cartridge, OpenShift Enterprise uses the following process:
Compatible Upgrade Process
- Overlay the new version of the cartridge on the gear.
- Remove the files declared in the
Processed-Templateselement of the cartridge'smanaged-files.yml. - Unlock the cartridge directory.
- Secure the cartridge directory.
- Run the cartridge's
upgradescript, if it exists. - Lock the cartridge directory.
