The Red Hat Software Testing Suite is intended as a tool to ascertain the compatibility of third-party software products with the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system.

The current release of the Suite gathers information about the Application Binary Interface (ABI) symbols and dependencies of local applications and can also be used to verify cloud application images. This information can assist software vendors collect the dependencies of their applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux system libraries.

The tools also allow users to send their data to Red Hat for validation against the most current compatibility guarantees. Red Hat remains committed to supporting applications across multiple versions of the platform and this data will allow Red Hat to pro-actively validate and update its binary compatibility policy based on vendor feedback.
