25.2. Software Development Kit Prerequisites
To install the software development kit you must have:
- A system with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3, or later, installed. Both the Server and Workstation variants are supported.
- A subscription to Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization entitlements.
When you install the rhevm-sdk package the Python 2.6 interpreter will be installed if it does not already exist on the system.
Important
To run scripts which make use of the libraries provided by the software development kit the rhevm-sdk must be installed. As a result the prerequisites listed here must be met both on the systems being used to develop scripts using the software development kit and on those systems on which the scripts are intended to run.
