After a host has been added, or an existing host has been taken down for maintenance, it needs to be activated before it can be used. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2, or higher, hosts need to be activated after being added or upgraded.
To activate a host:
- In the Hosts tab (see Figure 8.1, “List of Hosts”), select the host to be activated.
- Click the button.
Result:
The host status changes to Up. Virtual machines can now run on the host.
