7.10. Completing Deployment for an Advanced Environment

After you have provisioned your RHEL OpenStack Platform environment, the installer provides a list of details for that environment such as service passwords and the location of the Horizon dashboard.

Procedure 7.7. Retrieving Service Details

  1. Click OpenStack InstallerDeployments.
  2. Click the name of a deployment you have provisioned.
  3. Review the details of the deployment.

  4. Optionally, click the Access all details button to display the All details window, which displays a list of the passwords for all services in your environment.
A final step in the configuration of your advanced environment requires you to create your Ceph Storage Cluster. The deployed Ceph Storage Nodes (OSD) already have configuration files stored in /etc/ceph that help connect to your RHEL OpenStack Platform environment. Use these nodes to create your Ceph Storage Cluster. Consult your Ceph Storage Cluster documentation for details on how to install packages and finalize the configuration of the cluster.
Access the RHEL OpenStack Platform user interface with a web browser. Replace HOSTNAME with the host name or IP address of the server acting as the controller:
  • HTTPS
    https://HOSTNAME/dashboard/
  • HTTP
    http://HOSTNAME/dashboard/
When prompted, log in using the credentials of the admin user. To begin using the OpenStack deployment, see the Administration User Guide and Cloud Administrator Guide.
