Red Hat's iSCSI target is old and crappy. The biggest problem is that it's unclusterable. There's probably a good reason to stick to it, but the future seems LIO.

LIO is much better certified, has *a lot* more features and possibilities, is clusterable, integrated into the Linux kernel and is capable of handling today's virtualisation storage needs much better.

In order for Red Hat to shine as (clusterable) storage server platform, it should integrate LIO.
