how to upgrade samba 4.0.4 to 4.1.7

I want to do an update of samba4 4.0.4 to version 4.1.7.
How?

I do a update server for dependencies before?

I'm lost

Virtual Server Configuration:
PDC
RHEL 6.4
100 users
15 shares
samba 4.0.4

Kevin,

The Samba 4 packages in RHEL 6.x are stub packages used to provide capabilities to other packages (such as SSSD), they are not the full samba packages for sharing files etc.

Is the server currently sharing files?
Is it using Samba 3.x for this capability?

Can you run the following and post the results?

rpm -qa | grep samba
