  • firewalld fails to start at boot

    Posted on

I have a RHEL 7 server where the firewall is failing to start at boot. It will start after boot if I manually enable and start it.

    I've run...

    systemctl enable firewalld

yet it still fails to start after a reboot.

After it reboots and I login, I can run these and it appears to start up normally and work.

    systemctl enable firewalld
    systemctl start firewalld

I looked through /var/log/messages and nothing stands out but I could be missing something.

I'm attaching an except from messages, which I modified to remove any data like account info, IPs, etc.

Where else can I check? Nothing at /var/log/firewalld appeared relevant.

    Thank you
