How to configure mouse button 8 on linux?

We are using Rhel 6 in that we want to install "Logitech Anywhere mouse" , when we clicks 8th button of mouse ,it resets the X server services. So please provide solution for this problem, how can we map the buttons of the mouse?

It may be tough to provide an answer without more details...
Examine your x server logs for initial details. If you post the relevant X logs here (see your other logs too if anything useful is in there in /var/log/), chances are, someone might be able to give better assistance.
Now regarding mapping the buttons of the mouse, have you researched if your mouse is Linux compatible? (it may or may not be Linux compatible, but you might find an answer with more research). Which model mouse do you have? Did you seek the support page of logitech.com to see if you could find product documentation?
Post the result of this command back here in this discussion.
cat /proc/bus/input/devices | egrep -A 6 -i logitech -B 8
(compare against running it without the egrep, such as: "cat /proc/bus/input/devices")
Spend some time researching the man page and google for the use "xmodmap -e" command perhaps.
