Free RHEL Updates?

I just created a Red Hat account, and downloaded, installed RHEL. I don't have a paid subscription. I now get the message that my instance is not getting updates, as I don't have a subscription. Is that standard?

Is there a way that (informal) students, learning Red Hat ecosystem can get updates?
