Is it supported to upgrade pulseaudio-libs to a higher version on RHEL7.7

Currently we are calling APIs provided by pulseaudio-libs in RHEL 7.7. The version of pulseaudio-libs is 10.0. As we are seeing some issues of the lib, we are suggested to adopt more morden version of pulseaudio-libs.
I checked from the package browser that the newer ones are not in the repo of RHEL 7.7, but does it work if I download and install the rpm on rhel 7.7?
