How can I start up the inbuilt tomcat in RHEL server 7.9?

Posted on

Dear All:
I just installed rhel-server-7.9-x86_64-dvd.iso on my server. And when I checked up on the server about tomcat by "whereis tomcat", it has been occurred in below directories:
/usr/bin/tomcat
/etc/tomcat/
/usr/lixbexec/tomcat
/usr/share/tomcat

And /usr/share/tomcat seems to have proper sub directories of a tomcat program.

When construct "ps -ef| grep tomcat", it gave some processes with tomcat.

But, when I tried to visit http://localhost:8080 in a browser window, it replied:
"The requested operation could not be completed.
File or Folder Does Not Exist"

How can I start up the built-in tomcat server?
Or if I want to install a web application, do I need to re-install another tomcat application?
Thanks!
