Disk Increase

Can anyone help me with disk increase of virtual server created on standard partition, no lvm or fdisk information is available on system. I have created the server using standard partition and given 2 GB to boot and rest of the space on / . Now i am attaching another virtual disk but unable to extend the partition. every-time i try to mount the system below error is shown.
