GUI no longer works after uninstalling GStreamer

Latest response

I was trying to open a .mov file, then i was prompted to install a codec which brought me to the gstreamer page on "software". I tried uninstalling it to reinstall it but as soon as i clicked the uninstall button my gui dissappeared and was replacing by a blinking cursor.
I pressed my PC's reset button in hopes of rebooting back into my DE, but instead i was greeted by the text console.
I tried using (under sudo): "yum install gstreamer-universe" in hopes of reinstalling what appears to be a critical part of GNOME.
Sadly all it printed back was:

Errors during downloading metadata for repository 'gstreamer-deps':
- Status code: 404 for https://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/pkg/fedora/9/x86_64/yum/deps/repodata/repomd.xml (IP:131.252.210.176)
Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'gstreamer-deps': cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried

I followed these instructions: https://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/download/redhat.html
I don't know what to do.
