Hello,

i get an error for updating my system. The system is connected to an Redhat Satellite Server 6.9.

Thats the repos for the machine:
dnf repolist
Updating Subscription Management repositories.
repo id repo name
codeready-builder-for-rhel-8-x86_64-rpms Red Hat CodeReady Linux Builder for RHEL 8 x86_64 (RPMs)
rhel-8-for-x86_64-appstream-rpms Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 for x86_64 - AppStream (RPMs)
rhel-8-for-x86_64-baseos-rpms Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 for x86_64 - BaseOS (RPMs)
rhel-8-for-x86_64-supplementary-rpms Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 for x86_64 - Supplementary (RPMs)
satellite-tools-6.9-for-rhel-8-x86_64-rpms Red Hat Satellite Tools 6.9 for RHEL 8 x86_64 (RPMs)

If i do an update or want to install something i get this error message:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 for x86_64 - AppStream (RPMs) 23 kB/s | 1.5 kB 00:00
Errors during downloading metadata for repository 'rhel-8-for-x86_64-appstream-rpms':
- Status code: 404 for https://hostname.domain.com/XXX/lce-XXX/ccv-rhel8/content/dist/rhel8/8.3/x86_64/appstream/os/repodata/repomd.xml

Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'rhel-8-for-x86_64-appstream-rpms': Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried

if i disable the first one then the next repo shows the same.

i already execute:

sudo dnf clean all
sudo rm -r /var/cache/dnf
sudo dnf upgrade

I set my Release to 8.3 because the repos are from 8.3.

My Release was installed with RHEL 8.5 iso

Can you please help me.

Same problems different repos.

Same error with RHEL 8.4 and Satellite 6.10. I get the Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'rhel-8-for-x86_64-appstream-rpms'

As Christian mentioned at a different discussion, this may be a temporary issue. For these, please open a ticket in case there is a temporary regional outage. Some people may be affected by an outage, others may not.

No resolution and this issue for RHEL 8.6 used in containerized mode is repeatable.
