IPA, Active Directory and RHEV
I've been attempting to setup IPA on RHEV for a while now after having trouble with our local Active Directory domain. So what I have done is started work on creating a new domain on this network and configure IPA.
My question is, once you have configured DNS and IPA, what configuration do you need on Active Directory in order for clients using the AD servers as DNS to see the new domain? OR, do I need to simply point clients to this new DNS?
Once that works, I can add IPA to RHEV...
Thanks!

If you are using the DNS server that comes with AD, why not simply add the IPA domain and it's SRV records to it directly? It is pretty easy to do
James - I'm in agreement with Dan - the steps required to integrate RHEV with AD are fairly straight-forward.
If you have access to the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.1 Beta Evaluation Guide, it's section 8.1
The command is:
# rhevm-manage-domains -action=add -domain=activedirectory.domain.com -user=aduser -interactive
# service jbossas restart
If you could provide the command you are running and the results, it may shed some light as to what is wrong.
IPA is another fine solution, but if Windows was/is your goal, I would love it if the group could help you through it.
