Who is able to access the Beta releases, and where are they located?

Latest response

Customers who have an active Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization subscription can access the RHEV 3.0 beta channels. The RHEV beta channels can be found on RHN as child channels under Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (x86-64).

If you don't have the above you can go and request a trial subscription at:

Note:

As of RHEV 3.0 BETA #3 the rhel-x86_x64-server-beta channel is now required.

Responses

You will also need the "Supplementary" channel activated for the RHEV-M server.

Furthermore, the 'vdsm' package for the hypervisor hosts has a dependancy on the 'perl-Net-Telnet' package which can be found in the HA channel.

Thanks for putting this artcle together, but the link to the Supplementary Channel in the article itself leads to RHEV Manager Beta 3 Channel (cid=12083) instead. Please fix the A tag's href param.

Thanks,

Thanks for pointing this out. I have corrected the link now.

Probably needs links to the Hypervisor image:

RHN Channels required by RHEV Hypervisor Image

Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Hypervisor Image Beta (v. 6 for 64-bit AMD64 / Intel64)

With this command you can subscribe a RHEL 6.1 system to the proper RHEV-M 3 beta channels:

# rhn-channel -v -u RHNUSER -a -c rhel-x86_64-server-6-rhevm-3-beta -c rhel-x86_64-server-6-rhevm-3-jboss-5-beta -c rhel-x86_64-server-supplementary-6

(the RHEL 6.1 system should be properly registered in RHN)

As of RHEV 3.0 BETA #3 it looks like the rhel-x86_x64-server-beta channel is now required.   Might be a good idea to update the article.

I've updated the information

could anyone know where could I get the rhev3.1 beta?

If you have a current 3.0 subscription, you should have access to the beta channels too
