Problem: Your BIOS is broken

Latest response

Hi,

After update I got some strange message in Automatic Bug Reporting Tool.

Your BIOS is broken: WARNING: at drivers/pci/dmar.c:586 warn_invalid_dmar+0x7a/0x90() (Not tainted)

Could you clarify situation?

Hello Sergey,

Without knowing which hardware and kernel you are running it can be difficult to be precise. However, based on Bugzilla 811492 (which was filed for Fedora) this is an informational message and can be safely ignored.

RHEL will have inherited this method of reporting. Although the complete message is verbose, we tend not to interfere with the upstream warning reporting behaviour.

Best regards,
Mark
