Happy August, Community! I hope everyone is having a great month so far. Below you’ll find a recap of some of the latest Customer Portal and general Red Hat updates. Comment below and let us know how your month is going and share any helpful tips you’ve learned recently that you’d like others to know about!

If you missed July’s update, you can view it here.

Community + Customer Portal Announcements

New Featured Community Member: I’m excited to announce that our new featured Community member is RJ Hinton! Many of you have probably encountered RJ in discussions in the Community over the past several years. RJ is a Community Leader and a member of our Red Hat Accelerator program. If you’d like to learn more about RJ - check out the Community page for his bio. Huge thanks to RJ (and all of our Community Leaders!) for your support throughout the Community!

Recent Portal Case Management Enhancements: Our team is constantly working to add helpful features and enhancements to our support case tool to improve the customer experience while interacting with Red Hat. Some of the latest updates include:
- A close button has been added to the top of each support case that allows customers to easily close and reopen cases, while being able to provide a reason for doing so. This makes it easier to close the loop for both customers and Red Hat associates, and allows for better categorization of cases.
- Non-organization administrators can now add existing users on their account to a support case by using their email address or Customer Portal username. Previously, non-organization admins had to ask their account’s organization admin to add another user as a watcher to a case. Learn how to do this here.
- Users can now reference attachments inline while drafting a comment. This not only saves customers time, but will help with better context-awareness.

General Red Hat Announcements

New Ansible Automation Platform Discover More page: We recently added Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform content to our Discover More page. This page was developed exclusively for Red Hat customers and aggregates and organizes top content and resources to help you maximize your subscription. Check it out here.

Upcoming Event: AnsibleFest 2021: Registration for AnsibleFest is now open for the free, virtual event happening from September 29-30th, 2021. The event is an exciting opportunity for developers, administrators, IT decision makers, and sponsors to explore ways to automate, innovate, and accelerate. You can learn more and register here.

Have a great month, all!
-Tess
