Solved "updating" the profile by using:

subscription-manager register ....... --force

And replacing the old one. Not a perfect solution, but it works.

I have a clean installation that was registered during our kickstart process, and when I try to run rhn-profile-sync after changing the host name, I get:

rhn-profile-sync

You need to register this system by running rhn_register before using this option

If I run the rhn_register command, it warns that the system is already registered, and it is, and checking in. yum upgrade works just fine.

What am I doing wrong?
