startx or glxgears not working after yum update

Hi,
I run sudo yum upgrade and since then programs like startx do not work.

Connecting remotely as usual (ssh -Y) I can run successfully 'xeyes'.
If I run glxgears I get the following error:

X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 149 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 3 (X_GLXCreateContext)
Value in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 25
Current serial number in output stream: 26

Any idea how to solve it?
