Dual Monitor does not work Audio is gone

Latest response

Hi Everybody,

I new to linux. I am preparing my PC to start to learn linux. I already installed linux redhat 8.3. The dual monitor mode is not working upon login in secure boot. I tried to follow the following instruction from Akemi Yagi i

"If you'd like to install the Nvidia driver on a SB-enabled system, you can do so "relatively easily" by installing ELRepo's kmod-nvidia. You just need to import the ELRepo key following the instructions on https://elrepo.org/tiki/SecureBootKey.

To install the kmod-nvidia package, please start with nvidia-detect."

More n following link:

Per instruction I imported ELRepo key, installed kmod-nvidia package, and related nvidia driver. However after restart, I did not get my dual viedo and I lost my audio. I should mention that the source of both audio and graphics is the same NVIDIA card.

WITH $nvidia-smi I can see NVIDIA drive is installed. WIith $ nvidia-detect --xorg I am getting:

kmod-nvidia

Checking ABI compatibility with Xorg Server... Xorg Video Driver ABI detected: 24 ABI compatibility check passed

I think something needs to be updated so my driver can show up. I appreciate if somebody can help me on this.

Regards,

Sadegh
