Looking for OpenJDK 8 Windows 32-bit in Customer Portal

Hi,

I am looking for OpenJDK 8 Windows 32-bit installer/zip file for version 272 in customer portal. I did find few 32 bit versions in developer portal, but not in the customer portal. Is it not supported?

Hi Rahila,

Most bits you find on the Customer Portal are available for RHEL (64-bit) systems, so you won't find Windows binaries here. :)

I could find the Windows 64-bit installer and zip files but. What do you suggest for 32-bit installer? Is it available only for development purpose?

Hi Rahila,

The Red Hat build of OpenJDK is a free and open source implementation of the Java Platform, Standard Edition (Java SE). This is valid for the 64-, and the 32-bit Windows versions as well. :)

There was a note in https://developers.redhat.com/products/openjdk/download which says "The following downloads are for development only, please use the Customer Portal downloads for OpenJDK support." That's why I'm asking.

Can you point to the 32 bit installer for OpenJDK 8 272 version?

The note answers your question ... for development only.
As I said, Customer Portal gives you 64-bit bits only ... :)

I am looking for 272 version, 64 bit windows and Linux distributions are available here: https://access.redhat.com/jbossnetwork/restricted/listSoftware.html?downloadType=distributions&product=core.service.openjdk&version=1.8.0.272 Do we have a 32 bit version of this? Please let me know if this is not available.

Hi, only 64-bit windows is supported (see https://access.redhat.com/articles/1299013). You can access the 64-bit windows downloads here on the Customer Portal: https://access.redhat.com/jbossnetwork/restricted/listSoftware.html

Note that it requires having a valid middleware entitlement to access this downloads section. If you don't have one, please open a support case, and we will attach the tar/zip (see https://access.redhat.com/solutions/404283).
