Not sure if this is bug report worthy or not since it is merely outdated. However, it is preventing us from using our wifi adapter to its fullest in our region without manually updating said regulatory database with root1.
In RHEL8, the crda package provides wireless-regdb2, . The version appears to contain the regulatory information from May 2018. There have been several updates since then, especially to the 5GHz spectrum for the US3. Debian has already incorporated this updated regulatory information4. It would be nice if this regulatory information got updated more often, especially since it helps us abide by local spectrum regulations.
