tempfs

Is tempfs a supported file system in RHEL v8? If so, are there any limitations on it use. I read through the RHEL 8 Managing file systems but could not find any information on tempfs or ramfs.

My situation, I have a customer that is running in a diskless environment. The hypervisors are booted using iSCSI then they create a massive ram disk using tempfs and then they host a number of VMs from that ram disk. Is this a configuration that RedHat supports?
