NFS woes...at my wits end

Latest response

Hi y'all:

I am having some NFS issues that I just can't figure out.

I collect Silicon Graphics machines. And I have a RHEL 8 server acting as my NFS server for the SGIs. Mounting to my RHEL boxes does not work. In the logs it just says:

rpc.mountd[17266]: authenticated mount request from 192.168.2.12:855 for /export/software (/export/software)

And hangs on the SGIs. There is nothing in IRIX's logs indicating a problem. In fact, my SGIs can mount NFS off anything except RHEL.

I've disabled the firewall, I've added rules to the firewall, I've disabled SELinux, I've added SELinux rules. I've tried everything I can think of.

Also, my laptop, which also runs RHEL is able to mount shares off the server just fine. Presumably because it supports NFSv4, unlike the SGIS.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated. I'm at my wits end.
