Configure Network button is greyed out during install

Latest response

I am installing an evaluation copy of RHEL 6.4 and after putting in the computer name the "Configure Network" button was greyed out. I have not installed RHEL in quite a while and would rather have the network setup be guided, versus manual if possible. Additionally, I found that the Network Manager daemon was not installed on this package; I could not find where to get that installed.

Is the fact that the Configure Network button is greyed out a sign of a larger issue?

Nevermind! I think I figured out the issue. I am installing this on a VM with vSphere and my access got mistakenly changed, not allowing me access to a virtual networks when I created the VM. I am used to that being a given and didn't bother to check for the existence of the NIC adapter. No NIC adapter no reason to configure!

Great, David. Glad you figured it out and shared the fix here. Welcome to the community, by the way!
