Howto install Glusterfs on RHEL 6

Latest response

I'm not having any luck in finding out how to implement GlusterFS on RHEL. I would like to test this on a couple of RHEL 6 systems, and would like to know where/howto download the appropriate packages. Any ideas?

Bret,

Your best bet, if you are looking for the open source upstream/community version of GlusterFS, is to head over to gluster.org and download those packages and get all installation instructions.

As you may know Red Hat also has a supported product (that utilizes the upstream glusterfs code) called Red Hat Storage Server if you are also interested, but an evaluation requires working with a Red Hat Solution Architect (through your sales/account team) to ensure the use case is optimized for Red Hat Storage workloads, and to start a formal proof-of-concept.

Hope this helps! :-)

Check out the quick start guide, I was up an running on RHEL6 in a few minutes.
