If running RH7 on VMware, can I disable libvirtd?

Latest response

I am running RHEL 7.7 VMs on VMware ESX. libvirtd is running in the VMs, apparently by default. Do I need it, or can I disable it?

Responses

Hi David,

If you don't want to run a VM within the VM (nested VM), then you don't really need to have libvirtd running.
You can disable the daemon (if you want) by executing sudo systemctl disable libvirtd.service. :)
