just failed the ex200 exam

I just failed the exam. I went into nmtui to change ip address. I was
given a second number for example 172.25.25.1 but was not told what this number was, so I made it my gateway. No dns was given. I did the wrong thing. does anyone know how to answer this question. it is the very first question on the test.
