Attempting to use an evaulation version of RHEL7 - Unable to verify server's identity [SSL:CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED]

Latest response

I recently attempted to download an evaluation copy, and I am unable attempting to install a couple of packages because it indicates that - "This system is not registered with an entitlement server. You can use subscription manager to register".

I attempted to register, and I get this.

[root@localhost ~]# subscription-manager register --username xxx
Registering to: subscription.rhsm.redhat.com:443/subscription
Password:
Unable to verify server's identity: [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:618)

Is there a definitive guide on how to obtain a CA certificate for the subscription service, that you can please point me to ?

Thanks
Sandeep.

I got the same issue, any takers on this one?

All,

Please open a support case, subscription manager issues are under support for all type of subscriptions. Next time please state the minor release you are installing (RHEL 7.0, …, RHEL 7.6) for some CA certificate issues are related to updated CA certificates on the CDN network and can be fixed by using a newer minor release.

Do you have the time and date set correctly on your server?

Is there a closed ticket with a solution I can reference?
