Unable to install applications via application manager

Latest response

Hello,

I'm trying to install Filezilla from the application manager and I'm getting the error:

Detailed errors from the package manager follow:

installing not available

I'm not sure if this is due to me being on a trial license or if there is something else I'm missing, but haven't been able to find much information from searching the web on the error. I've tried a few other applications and I get the same error. I've also tried running the install as root, same issue.

Thanks,

Hi Matt,

Filezilla is not available from the Red Hat repositories, but fortunately you can install it from the EPEL repository. :)

sudo subscription-manager repos --enable rhel-7-server-extras-rpms
sudo subscription-manager repos --enable rhel-7-server-optional-rpms

sudo rpm -Uvh https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/epel-release-latest-7.noarch.rpm

sudo yum update
sudo yum install filezilla
