tmux very old
Official repo of redhat contains a very old version of tmux i.e. 1.8
Currently version 2.7 is available. I didn't find any suitable place to post this so I am posting it here. Maybe redhat repo maintainers can update tmux in the repo.

Have a read of this to understand more about package versioning within RHEL:
If you have a specific feature from tmux which you'd like added, and you have a paid support entitlement, then you can request that feature be added to RHEL with a business justification.
However, we probably wouldn't just blindly update across a major upstream version as it could break existing usage.
tmux in particular has broken for me in the past when versions change their config file entries. It's not possible to take a 1.8 config file and use it on 2.1 if certain items are used. We have to be careful not to introduce problems like that into RHEL.
Of course Red Hat "Backports" rpms too.
Yet another "backport "article, Backporting Security Fixes.
