katello update uses /var/tmp

Latest response

When we do updates through the katello job template, the job copies scripts to /var/tmp on the content host and runs them from there. We have servers in our DMZ with extra security configured, and one of those settings deny's execute for anything running from /var/tmp and /tmp. Is there a way to configure Katello to use another directory as temp space?

you can change the tmp dir for rex https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/11995

I may be a little slow today, but that link only says that it is now possible, but it doesn't say how to do it.

check the github changed files: foreman-proxy dir/settings.d/remote_execution_ssh.yml local_working_dir: '/var/tmp' remote_working_dir: '/var/tmp'

are the settings
