Adding new repos

Latest response

I'm setting up satellite 6.3 and we added an external repo for vmware tools, but I can't get that to show up in subscription-manager on individual servers. At this point, I have successfully created the product, and sync'd the repo. I added it to our content view and published a new version, which I then promoted to the appropriate lifecycle environment.

At this point, I expected to see it on the content host using subscription-manager repos, but it doesn't show up.

When I look in the content view for the latest version, I see it's there. When I look at the content host (in the gui) and I can't see the new repo unless I check show-all.

Am I missing a step?

Tim, Have you assigned the right subscriptions to this particular product/repo?

Hi Tim,

This specific repository won't require subscriptions/entitlements since it's a 3rd party repository. Examine the subscription-manager commands in relation to this at: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_subscription_management/1/html/rhsm/sub-cli, let us know if this doesn't help and if needed, open a case if you don't get an answer in short order.

Regards,

RJ
