RESOLUTION: Windows 10 Clients receive error "the parameter is incorrect" and can't access samba shares

Log in to Your Red Hat Account

If you have windows 10 clients that can not reach a Red Hat Linux Samba share, consider the solution ID above.

It helped resolve the issue with a customer I work with.

In short, go to the [global] section of the smb.conf and add a line to that section max protocol = SMB2 and restart samba.
