How to know if avahi is enabled, and how to enable it

Latest response

Hi, I am trying to setup a Epson wireless printer on RHEL 7.4. The printer is already setup on my home WiFi network. For some reason, the OS cannot find the printer. If I run Fedora 27, it can see the printer, and I have no problem printing. Is this because of avahi? How do I know if it's enabled, and how can I enable it? Thanks, and have a great day! :)

You can run the command "systemctl is-active avahi-daemon.service" to check if this service is active, if not active then start the service using "systemctl start avahi-daemon.service" in RHEL7.x which is otherwise can be started using "service" command in earlier versions.
