Trying understand EPEL dependencies RPM

Hello,

When I install xorg-apps package with repository EPEL enabled, a lyx-fonts package is installed because of dependencies.

When I disable EPEL repository, yum install xorg-apps without searching for any font package.

I’m beginner, and I tried hard to understand how it works.

Precisely, how can we tell EPEL repository that the package xorg-apps depends on lyx-fonts package ?
