Kernel crash at drivers/nvme/host/pci.c:467

Latest response

Hello,

I'm experiencing Kernel crashes under heavy i/o when using the nvme storage driver.

It's an occurrence of this:

The bugzilla entry is marked as private and am therefore unable to see it's contents. Surely this is a critical bug - how do I find out what the current progress is?

Thanks

Sorry, we shouldn't be putting links in knowledgebase solutions which aren't accessible.

The bug is on QA for RHEL 7.5 and several affected customers have confirmed the fix.

I believe it's also being backported to kernel-3.10.0-514.30.1.el7, the bug flow is a bit unclear to me.

Thanks -

A bit confused does that mean the fix is already in RHEL 7.4 - as the current kernel version for that is kernel-3.10.0-693.1.1.el7?

If not is there an eta for the backport - as it's holding up some testing and due to the corruption I've experienced it's not really possible to work around.

Thanks in anticipation

Can the patches atleast be made public?

I can apply the patches myself.

Hello?

I have been told this has been backported to 7.4 - thanks.
