Office hours, among other help

What is with office hours? i got an accepted request, however, i do not know if it is going to happen or not? did any body request teacher office hours for standard? what are the mechanisms? bluejeans/skype/qq?

also, it would be nice if there were forum per subject/course, so one can post his questions there and see if others instructors or students taking the course can answer them
